Good to know : Taste Week is an annual national event dedicated to taste education and the discovery of flavours, often promoted by schools and libraries.
A meeting with the Bibliothèques gourmandes, an association that has worked for 30 years to promote knowledge of culinary culture and heritage, on the occasion of Taste Week. The focus is on Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, a jurist, musician and gastronome, and author of the Physiologie du goût (The Physiology of Taste).
Depuis 30 ans, l’association des Bibliothèques gourmandes oeuvre pour la connaissance de la culture et du patrimoine culinaires : organisation de conférences et de lectures, rencontres gastronomiques, dictées gourmandes, dîners historiques. L'association publie une revue semestrielle, Papilles, qui aborde l'art culinaire de façon pluridisciplinaire.
