Photographe allemand, Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) a réalisé pendant plus de 30 ans des clichés de plantes, constituant un inventaire extraordinaire de formes et de structures végétales. On peut comparer le résultat de son travail à celui d'un herbier, le tout empreint d'une poésie visuelle exceptionnelle.
