Good to know : A kermesse is a traditional fair organized in France by schools, associations or neighbourhoods, with stalls, games and sometimes shows; people often dance the conga there, a chain dance where participants hold each other by the waist and snake along in a line. Charles Mathorez and Marine Barbarit are the artists associated with this project.
The Collectif La Cabale turns the conga line, that group dance, into an experience that is both festive and political. A show that questions our relationship with ridicule and shame, for audiences aged 10 and up.
