First major solo exhibition in France of Ivorian photographer Paul Kodjo, a major figure in post-independence Ivorian visual culture and a pioneer of the photo novel in Africa.
« Paul Kodjo : Photoromance » est la première exposition personnelle d’ampleur du photographe ivoirien Paul Kodjo en France. Figure majeure de la construction d’une culture visuelle ivoirienne postindépendance, il est l’un des premiers photographes africains à avoir exploré le genre du photoroman, non seulement pour son potentiel narratif, mais également pour les possibilités nouvelles qu’offre le langage cinématographique à la création d’images fixes. À découvrir à partir du 21 octobre au Palais de Tokyo.
